Vijam is based upon Vishnu, one of the principle deities of Hinduism whom, in Vaishnavism, is identical to the formless Brahman and takes on various avatar forms as the presever, protector whenever the world is threatened by evil, chaos and/or destructive forces. This is fitting, as in The Dark Side of Dimensions, it is shown that Vijam (true to its name) serves as the seed that the other Cubic monsters manifest and gain strength from.
