This monster appears in the artwork of the following cards:
Snake Deity's Command
Rise of the Snake Deity
Attack Pheromones
In the French version, this card's name specifically titles Vennominaga the female Goddess of Venomous Snakes (Déesse des Serpents Venimeux), while Snake Deity cards (Offering to the Snake Deity, Rise of the Snake Deity, Snake Deity's Command) all refer to some generic male/sex-indeterminate Snake God" (Dieu du Serpent) instead, even though Vennominaga is the only Snake Deity to date (Vennominon is merely a king).
The Spanish version uses the masculine/gender-indeterminate title God (Dios) for Vennominaga.
In Hindu and Buddhist mythology, Nagas are a race of divine beings which take the forms of serpents or snake-people.
Keeping in Hindu and Buddhist traditions, this card's resurrection effect seems to be reminiscent of the concept of reincarnation.
This is the first card ever released to the OCG/TCG that is immune to card effects.
It is also the first Level 10 Reptile monster, and the first Reptile monster that cannot be Normal Summoned.
