This monster is based on Zhuge Liang (courtesy name: Kongming), from the historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, famed strategists and both Chancellor and Regent of the Shu state during the Three Kingdoms Period. He also known as Crouching Dragon or Sleeping Dragon, fittingly, he has a dragon motif and a hand fan made of crane feathers (An element common in his depictions).
