Card Trivia

Scrap Dragon gains an extra head for an extra target, 1 level, and 200 ATK and DEF to become Scrap Twin Dragon. This pattern continues when Scrap Twin Dragon upgrades to Atomic Scrap Dragon.
This card's effect reflects its name: Scrap Dragon destroys 1 of your own cards and an opponent's, while Scrap Twin Dragon destroys 1 of your cards and returns 2 of your opponent's to their hand.

Rulings

TCG Rulings

You destroy your targeted card and return your opponent’s targeted cards to the hand at the same time.: Starstrike Blast Sneak Peek -- Card Rulings (Version 1.0)

If control of one or more of the targets is switched before this effect resolves, this effect does nothing.

If your opponent controls the card you targeted to be destroyed when this effect resolves, it is not destroyed and you don’t return any cards to your opponent’s hand.

OCG Rulings

When resolving the effect of "Scrap Twin Dragon", if the targeted monster on your side of the field cannot be destroyed because it is no longer on the field, then you cannot return your opponent's cards to the hand. Also, if either one of the opponent's targeted cards is no longer on the field, then the card on your field must still be destroyed.: When resolving "Scrap Twin Dragon", do the opponent's cards return to the hand if the card on your field is no longer there?

The "destroy the one you control" and "return the two your opponent controls to the hand" effects are treated as resolving simultaneously.: Are the "destroy" and "draw"{{sic effects of "Scrap Twin Dragon" treated as being done simultaneously?

If control of one or more of the targets is switched before this effect resolves, then you neither destroy your card nor return the opponent's cards to his hand.: When resolving the effect of "Scrap Twin Dragon", are the effects applied even if control of the selected card(s) changes?
