In the TCG, this card can Special Summon a monster controlled by the opponent that was sent to the player's Graveyard.
In the OCG, this card can only Special Summon a monster sent from the player's own side of the field to their Graveyard.

If a face-up "Giant Red Seasnake" controlled by the opponent battles a "7 Colored Fish" controlled by the player are both are destroyed by battle and sent to the player's Graveyard, the player can activate "Rope of Life" and Special Summon "7 Colored Fish". Monsters on the opponent's side of the field that are destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, even ones that the player owns, cannot be Special Summoned with "Rope of Life".: A face-up "Giant Red Seasnake" on my opponent's side of the field battles a "7 Colored Fish" on my side of the field, and both monsters are destroyed. If I was the original owner of both monsters, so that they are both sent to my Graveyard, can I activate "Rope of Life" and Special Summon both monsters from my Graveyard?

Elemental HERO Bubbleman: If "Elemental HERO Bubbleman" is Special Summoned during the Damage Step by an effect like that of "Rope of Life", then you can activate the effect of "Elemental HERO Bubbleman

Discarding your hand is a cost and the cost must be at least 1 card. So if you have zero cards in your hand, you cannot activate "Rope of Life".

If your monster is controlled by your opponent and sent to your Graveyard, you can activate "Rope of Life". You cannot activate "Rope of Life" when your opponent's monster you control is sent to his/her Graveyard.

The increase in ATK is permanent as long as the monster remains face-up on the field.

You can use "Rope of Life" to Special Summon "Jinzo" and "Jinzo"s ATK will increase by 800 points.
