Card Trivia

This monster is a Metal Xyz counterpart of Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon.
By extension, this monster can also be considered the Xyz counterpart of Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon and/or Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon. However, despite this, due to this monster being a Rank 7, it cannot be Summoned using either of these counterpart as Materials, without using Level changing card effects.
This monster appears to be fused with Black Metal Dragon.
This monster appears in the artwork of Return of Red-Eyes, during the process in which Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon turns into Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon by fusing with Black Metal Dragon.
This is somewhat odd as, under normal circumstances, the ATK of Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon would be 3000 after being equipped with Black Metal Dragon, but the ATK of Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon is just 2800.
This card's artwork resembles the fifth OCG art of Red-Eyes Black Dragon.
Until its RA01 print, the Spanish name was rendered as Dragón Replandeciente Ojos Rojos
Oddly, Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon (which also debuted in Clash of Rebellions along this card in the TCG) had its name correctly displayed as Dragón Negro Resplandeciente de Ojos Rojos.
