Question

  Normal / Spell
When activating this card, your opponent cannot check cards in the Graveyard. Your opponent calls the name of the first monster found at the bottom of your Graveyard. If he/she calls it right, the monster is removed from play. If he/she calls it wrong, the monster is Special Summoned to your side of the field.

Card Trivia

The man in this card's artwork also appears in the artworks of Final Question and Reversal Quiz.
In most video games, this card is useless because the CPU will always call correctly. This can be taken advantage of in some cases, such as when Necroface is the first card in your Graveyard.
This card is one of the few, if not the only, card(s) in the game that can completely shut down a normal game mechanic. When activated, the opponent can’t check cards in the Graveyard, something that is public knowledge in a Duel as you are always allowed to check cards in a Graveyard, except when this card is activated.

In place of declaring a FULL card name, a precise description of a card's stats, appearance, and/or effects, is considered acceptable so long as both players are in clear agreement over which card is being described.
Saying "Dekoichi" instead of "
Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive" is acceptable as long as there isn't another card with the name "Dekoichi".
In the case of a card like "Luster Dragon", since the original printing of "Luster Dragon #2" did not have the #2 by its card name, you should ask the player for additional information. If they say "The Level 6 one" is then enough information provided so that both players know which card it is.: Question / Mind Crush / Prohibition / ETC. vs Card Names

During the resolution of this card, "your opponent cannot check cards in your Graveyard" is also applied, and your opponent cannot check cards.: Spell Card > Question

If the bottom monster of your Graveyard cannot be Special Summoned, the effect which Special Summons the monster is not applied.

Your opponent cannot check your Graveyard from the activation of "Question" onwards. Your opponent cannot check your Graveyard even if he activates "D.D. Crow"/"Disappear

Previously Official Rulings

Remember that you cannot shuffle your
Graveyard or change the order of cards in your Graveyard at any time.

If a monster is named with "Question" that could not be Special Summoned, "Question"’s effect disappears and the monster is neither Special Summoned nor removed from play. So the effect of "Question" disappears if the bottom monster is incorrectly named and is "Helpoemer", "Dark Ruler Ha Des", etc.

If you would Special Summon "Tyrant Dragon" from the Graveyard using "Question", you must Tribute 1 Dragon and if you cannot you cannot Special Summon "Tyrant Dragon" and the effect of "Question" disappears.

Mentions in Other Rulings

Necrovalley: "Necrovalley" negates any effect that targets a card or cards in the Graveyard. So "Necrovalley" WILL negate the effect of: "Question"The latest print of "Necrovalley" has Problem-Solving Card Text which states that it negates the effects of cards that move cards in the Graveyard to other locations, regardless of whether or not they target. Despite this effect not targeting, this ruling is correct that it is negated by "Necrovalley".
