OCG Rulings
You can activate the effect of "Mythical Beast Garuda" in your hand even when your opponent Special Summons a Token(s). In that case, "Mythical Beast Garuda" is Special Summoned normally, but when returning the opponent’s Summoned monsters to the hand, the Token(s) disappears and do not return to the hand.
