Sending a “Morphtronic” monster to the Graveyard is a cost to activate “Morphtronic Repair Unit.” The effect targets 1 “Morphtronic” monster in your Graveyard.: Raging Battle -- Card Rulings (version 1.2)
There must be a “Morphtronic” monster in your Graveyard in order to activate “Morphtronic Repair Unit.” However, as long as there is an eligible target in your Graveyard, you can send a “Morphtronic” monster from your hand to the Graveyard, and then target the monster you just sent. If there are no “Morphtronic” monsters in your Graveyard, you cannot do this.

The effect targets one "Morphtronic" monster in your Graveyard.
You cannot activate this card if there is no valid target in your Graveyard.
If you send a "Morphtronic" monster to the Graveyard as a cost to activate "Morphtronic Repair Unit", then you can Special Summon it. However, you cannot activate "Morphtronic Repair Unit" if there are no "Morphtronic" monsters in your Graveyard that you can Special Summon.: Can "Morphtronic Repair Unit" Special Summon a "Morphtronic" monster sent to the Graveyard as its cost?
If an effect like "Disappear" or "D.D. Crow" is chained to the activation of "Morphtronic Repair Unit", then at resolution "Morphtronic Repair Unit" cannot equip itself to a monster, so is destroyed.: When resolving the effect of "Morphtronic Repair Unit", what happens when the targeted monster is not in the Graveyard?
