This card targets 1 Machine-Type monster you control with 500 or less ATK.: Machine Duplication

A Token Monster like "Sheep Token" is treated as a Monster Card on the field, but they do not exist on the Deck. Therefore, since you cannot Special Summon any monster with the same name from your Deck, "Machine Duplication" cannot be activated by targeting a Token Monster.: Can you activate "Machine Duplication" by targeting a Token Monster?

When "Genex Recycled" uses its effect and changes its name to "Genex Neutron", if you activate "Machine Duplication" and target "Genex Recycled", then you will Special Summon up to two "Genex Neutron" from your Deck.: When the name of "Genex Recycled" is changed and "Machine Duplication" is activated, which monsters can be Special Summoned?

If the targeted monster is no longer face-up on the field when resolving "Machine Duplication" - such as if "Book of Moon" or "Compulsory Evacuation Device" is chained - then you cannot Special Summon any monsters of the same name from your Deck.: When resolving "Machine Duplication", if the targeted monster is not face-up on the field, then can you Special Summon monsters of the same name from your Deck?

Even if "Stronghold the Moving Fortress" or "Metal Reflect Slime" that is being treated as a Machine-Type by "DNA Surgery" are treated as Monster Cards by their own effects, they are still treated as Trap Cards on the Deck. Therefore, since you cannot Special Summon any monster with the same name from your Deck, "Machine Duplication" cannot be activated by targeting "Stronghold the Moving Fortress" or "Metal Reflect Slime".: Can you activate "Machine Duplication" by targeting a "Stronghold the Moving Fortress" that is treated as a Monster Card?

If "Rush Recklessly" is chained to "Machine Duplication" so that the targeted monster has 501 or more ATK at resolution, then you still Special Summon monsters with the same name.: Can you still Special Summon if the ATK is 501 or more when resolving "Machine Duplication"?

If "Machine Duplication" targets a Machine-Type monster with 500 or less ATK that has been affected by "Forbidden Lance", then you can still Special Summon monsters with the same name as the Machine-Type monster.: With the effect of "Machine Duplication", can you Special Summon monsters with the same name as a monster affected by "Forbidden Lance"?

"Jinzo - Jector" is treated as "Jinzo" while it is face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. Therefore, if a "Jinzo - Jector" whose ATK was halved by "Shrink" is targeted by "Machine Duplication", you can only Special Summon "Jinzo" from your Deck. (You cannot Special Summon "Jinzo - Jector".): If "Jinzo - Jector" with 500 or less ATK is targeted by "Machine Duplication", which monsters can be Special Summoned?

Video games
The Machine-Type monster is chosen at activation of this card, so if the opponent chains "Ring of Destruction" to destroy the chosen monster, up to 2 copies of that card can still be Special Summon

Previously Official Rulings
