Continuous Effects that do not start a Chain cannot be negated by “Koa’ki Meiru Doom” because they do not ‘activate’.: Raging Battle -- Card Rulings (version 1.2)

Koa’ki Meiru Doom” will negate effects that activate outside of the field (such as the Graveyard{{SpanRemoved Zone), as long as it is during the Main Phase.

The effect of “Koa’ki Meiru Doom” is a Continuous Effect.


OCG Rulings



The effect of "Koa'ki Meiru Doom" only negates effects which activate and start a Chain. It does not negate Continuous Effects, like that of "Jinzo".: Can the effect of "Koa'ki Meiru Doom" negate Continuous Effects?

The effect of "Koa'ki Meiru Doom" will negate all effects of LIGHT and DARK monsters that activate during the Main Phase, even if the effect is not activated on the field. It will negate effects that activate in the hand and Graveyard, and it will negate effects that activate when the monster is removed from play.: Can the effect of "Koa'ki Meiru Doom" negate effects of LIGHT and DARK monsters which do not activate on the field?
