Card Trivia

This card is the cover card for Starter Deck 2008, Starter Deck: Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, Structure Deck: Synchron Extreme and Synchron Extreme Structure Deck.
This card along with Stardust Dragon are Yusei's favorite Synchro Monsters.
This card could actually be seen as the personification of Yusei due to its ability to draw strength from the weak very much how Yusei draws strength from his friends.
This monster appears in the artworks of the following cards:
Synchro Blast Wave
Synchro Deflector
Synchro Strike
Urgent Tuning
Give and Take
Synchro Spirits
Speed Spell - Synchro Return
Synchro Gazer
Dimension Voyage
Scrap Fist
Clashing Souls
Synchro Chase
This card was the first Synchro Monster to require a specific Tuner monster be used in its Synchro Summon, as well as one of the first Synchro Monsters to be released in the TCG, alongside Gaia Knight, the Force of Earth and Colossal Fighter.
This monster seems to have been put as a specific Synchro of Speed Warrior and Junk Synchron as seen in Urgent Tuning and Synchro Strike.
This is further suggested in the anime, as almost every time Junk Warrior is Synchro Summoned, Junk Synchron and Speed Warrior are used to Summon it.
This is indicated in it's name, as it contains the first word of Junk Synchron and the last word of Speed Warrior together.
There are many design similarities between the 3 monsters. Both the back of Junk Warrior and Junk Synchron have the same engine design. The scarf on Junk Synchron can be seen on this monster. Both Speed Warrior and Junk Warrior wear different kinds of skates, with Speed Warrior wearing roller skates and Junk Warrior wearing what resembles ice skates. The design of the goggles on Junk Warrior resembles those that Junk Synchron wears.
This was the first Synchro Monster to be released in the Starter Deck 2009 with Common as its rarity.
This monster is similar to Jaden's Elemental HERO Flame Wingman due to the fact that this was Yusei's main monster before getting Stardust Dragon back just as Flame Wingman was Jaden's ace card before acquiring Elemental HERO Neos.
This card being a protagonist's purple Warrior monster of the same card type as its user's ace with 2300 ATK, power up capabilities based on other monsters, and being the start of a monster archetype that its user frequently uses is similar to Gaia The Fierce Knight and Decode Talker (though the latter is a only a warrior aesthetically).
This card was the first and last Synchro Monster Yusei Fudo Summoned in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime.
This card is also the featured card of the first and last episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.
In Kizuna, the first opening song of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, the words JUNK WARRIOR ATK 2300 are briefly displayed from inside Yusei's helmet visor.
Junk Warrior did not appear for 51 episodes after episode 102 of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's until it finally was Summoned in the last episode where Yusei used its ATK gain effect to defeat Jack Atlas.
The victory of Junk Warrior over Red Dragon Archfiend in the last episode can be interpreted as its payback after being beaten by Red Dragon Archfiend in the first season.
This monster looks like MagnaGarurumon from Digimon Frontier.
Despite being a Warrior, this monster strongly resembles a Machine monster.
This monster bears a strong resemblance to Eightron from the anime DT Eightron (both have a Football shaped head, are made from trash, wear a scarf, and are melee combatants.)
The signature attack of Junk Warrior, Scrap Fist, was directly homaged in the first episode of the anime Senki Zessho Symphogear G, in which protagonist Hibiki Tachibana enlarged her right arm and engaged a set of brass knuckles, then rocketed forward with boosters on her back and a scarf trailing behind in a fashion identical to the typical stock footage of Junk Warrior. The two series have the same director, Katsumi Ono, and Hibiki's design was even revised to add a scarf when Ono began working on the series. Upon the airing of the episode, he noted on Twitter that he was happy to draw it again.

If "
Doppelwarrior" is used as Synchro Material Monster for the Synchro Summon of "Junk Warrior", both the effects of "Junk Warrior" and "Doppelwarrior" will activate at the same time. "Junk Warrior" is mandatory and will be placed on the Chain first. "Doppelwarrior" is optional, and will be Chain link 2. "Doppelwarrior" resolves first, Special Summoning the two "Doppel Tokens" in face-up Attack Position. "Junk Warrior" then resolves, and gains ATK equal to the total ATK of all face-up Level 2 and lower Monsters you control.: junk warrior and doppel warrior whats happens

OCG Rulings

This card's effect is a Trigger Effect.: Synchro Monster > Junk Warrior

When the effect of "Junk Warrior" increases its ATK, its ATK is increased by the current ATK (not original ATK) of all Level 2 or lower monsters on your field, determined when the effect of "Junk Warrior" resolves.: Does the increase to ATK by the effect of "Junk Warrior" also included changes caused by other cards' effects?
Example: If you have a Level 2 or lower monster is equipped with an Equip Spell like "Axe of Despair", then the ATK of "Junk Warrior" is increased based on that monster's changed ATK.

When "Neo-Spacian Dark Panther" or "Phantom of Chaos" has its name changed to "Junk Synchron", and then becomes a Tuner monster with "Lightwave Tuning", you can use it as a Synchro Material Monster for "Junk Warrior".: For a "Phantom of Chaos" whose name is changed to "Junk Synchron" and turned into a Tuner Monster by "Lightning Tune", can it be used as a Synchro Material Monster?
