This card's name (氷山竜 hyōzanryū) translates to Iceberg Dragon, despite the original name and lore of Hyozanryu indicating that it is made of diamond.
Carboneddon is a weaker version of this card.
Its effect being able to Summon this card (in the anime) is a reference to the diamond, which forms from carbon as a result of intense pressure.
Despite this monster being made from a diamond (per its flavor text,) most of its body is prominently saturated in cracks and fissures. Diamonds are the hardest natural substance on Earth.
This card is the only Chemical monster whose Type is neither Dinosaur nor Sea Serpent.
It is also the only non-Effect Chemical monster.
