This card's Japanese name's kana reading, ガラクターアイズ・ファット・ドラゴン Garakutāaizu Fatto Doragon, is a pun on 我楽多 garakuta (garbage), and a parody of ギャラクシーアイズ・フォトン・ドラゴン Gyarakushīaizu Foton Doragon (Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon).

Banishing 1 "Super Defense Robot" monster from your Graveyard is a cost to activate the effect that Special Summons this card from the Graveyard.
When "Googly-Eyes Drum Dragon" Special Summons itself from the Graveyard by its own effect, if the effect that attaches 1 "Super Defense Robot" monster from the Graveyard to "Googly-Eyes Drum Dragon" is applied, "Torrential Tribute" cannot be activated. However, if that effect is not applied, "Torrential Tribute" can be activated.: Can "Torrential Tribute" be activated when "Googly-Eyes Drum Dragon" Special Summons itself from the Graveyard by its own effect?
