Gyzarus is a combination of 3 syllables: Gy is a deformation of a syllable of the first name of Gaius Julius Caesar, so instead of gai is Gy because the similarity of the pronouncement. zar it can be from the meaning of Russian emperors Czar or a deformation of a syllable of the last name of Gaius Julius Caesar, so instead of sar it can be zar. us it can be from the last syllable of the first 2 names of Gaius Julius Caesar.
This card has an effect similar to that of the base Monarch monsters, activating when it is Summoned to the field. It also has 2400 ATK which is the same for every Monarch.
This is fitting, as the Monarchs are based on the seven kings of Ancient Rome.

OCG Rulings
If "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus" is Special Summoned during the Damage Step, then you can activate its effect which destroys up to two cards.: Can the effect of "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus" be activated during the Damage Step?
Returning "Gladiator Beast Bestiari" to the Deck to Special Summon "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus" is considered "playing" ("using") "Gladiator Beast Bestiari". If "Prohibition" declares "Gladiator Beast Bestiari" and later "Gladiator Beast Bestiari" is Special Summoned by the effect of another "Gladiator Beast" monster, then you cannot return "Gladiator Beast Bestiari" to the Deck to Special Summon "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus".: Can you use the Monster declared by "Prohibition" as a Fusion Material Monster?
You can return a "Gladiator Beast" Fusion Monster like "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus" to the Extra Deck to Special Summon "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus" or "Gladiator Beast Heraklinos". However, if you have no "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus" in your Extra Deck, you cannot return "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus" to the Extra Deck and "Gladiator Beast Bestiari" to the Deck to Special Summon that same "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus".: Can "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus" be Special Summoned by returning a "Gladiator Beast" Fusion Monster to the Extra Deck?
When Special Summoning a monster like "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus" or "Elemental Hero Aqua Neos" from the Extra Deck, you can return a face-down monster "Gladiator Beast Bestiari" or "Gladiator Beast" monster or "Elemental Hero Neos" or "Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin" to the Deck. However, you must verify with the opponent that the face-down "Gladiator Beast Bestiari" is a proper Fusion Material Monster.: When Special Summoning "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus", can a face-down "Gladiator Beast Bestiari" be returned to the Deck?
Thunder King Rai-Oh: The effects of "Thunder King Rai-Oh", "Black Horn of Heaven", "Solemn Judgment", and similar cards can only be activated when a monster Special Summons itself without starting a Chain, such as when a Special Summon monster Special Summons itself.: Please explain what Special Summons can and cannot be negated by the effects of "Thunder King Rai-Oh", "Solemn Judgment", and so on.
Example: The effect of "Thunder King Rai-Oh" can negate a Synchro Summon and the Special Summon of "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus" from the Extra Deck.
Guard Mines: "Guard Mines" can only be activated directly in Chain to an effect which targets one monster. Thus, you cannot Chain "Guard Mines" to an effect like "Icarus Attack" or "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus" that targets multiple cards.: Can you Chain "Guard Mines" to "Icarus Attack" if it targets a monster and a Spell or Trap Card?

Test Tiger: "Test Tiger" can return "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus" to the Extra Deck, and you will Special Summon another "Gladiator Beast" monster from your Main Deck

Prime Material Dragon: If "Royal Oppression's" effect is activated to negate the Special Summon of a monster, like "Cyber Dragon" or "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus", "Prime Material Dragon's" effect cannot be chained because the monster being Special Summoned is not considered to be "on the field" until its Summon is successful.
Prime Material Dragon: If your opponent activates "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus" effect and selects to destroy a monster, you can chain "Prime Material Dragon's" effect.
Solemn Judgment: "Solemn Judgment" can negate the Special Summon of a monster that is Special Summoned through its own inherent Special Summon effect that does not start a Chain, like "Gladiator Beast Gyzarus" .
