Card Trivia

This card has two Elemental HERO counterparts: Elemental HERO Flame Wingman and Elemental HERO Phoenix Enforcer. It shares a similar, but stronger, effect with the former, but shares its Attribute with the latter.
This monster appears in the artworks of Dark Fusion, Evil Mind and Spiritual Fusion.
This monster has three distinctions from the other fusions of Elemental HERO Avian and Elemental HERO Burstinatrix.
It is the only one to be female instead of male.
It is the only one to be an Evil HERO instead of an Elemental HERO.
It is the only one to not have an evolved Shining form with Elemental HERO Sparkman, unlike Elemental HERO Flame Wingman with Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman or Elemental HERO Phoenix Enforcer with Elemental HERO Shining Phoenix Enforcer.
This and Gagagarush are the only cards in all of Yu-Gi-Oh that goes for a higher value of ATK or DEF for its damage effect so far.
This card and Gagagarush are also similar in that the target monster is destroyed first before the effect damage is applied.
In this card's artwork and the original anime, regular orange flames are shown and used by Evil HERO Inferno Wing. In the dub anime, Inferno Wing uses blue flames (presumingly to makes the flames less realistic), but the irony with this is that blue flames are of a higher temperature and therefore, burn hotter than regular flames.
This fact also applies to the anime-only Gorlag, whose flames in its original artwork were orange, but were changed to blue in the dub.
Inferno Wing's visor is likely a reference to the Image Comics supervillain , who also wore a visor as part of her costume.
Alternatively, the card's artwork could be a reference to the Bad Girl comics genre which was popular during the 90s. The Bad Girl genre often featured numerous female antiheroines and villain-protagonists (which Bomb Queen is based on) often in dark and revealing armor while focusing on more adult themes. Other examples of this genre include Witchblade and Lady Death.

The "When this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to either the ATK or DEF (whichever is higher) of the destroyed monster in the Graveyard." effect is a Trigger Effect. (It does not target. It is a mandatory effect that is activated at the end of the Damage Step.)

This card can only be Special Summoned by "Dark Fusion" or "Dark Calling". After this card is Special Summoned, if it is sent to the Graveyard, it cannot be Special Summoned with "Monster Reborn

Previously Official Rulings

The damage inflicted by “
Evil Hero Inferno Wing” is determined when the destroyed monster is sent to the Graveyard, and due to this the damage inflicted will be based on the destroyed monsters original ATK or DEF.

If the destroyed monster’s ATK and DEF are equal, the effect of “Evil Hero Inferno Wing” will still activate and it will inflict damage equal to either the ATK or DEF. (since both are equal, it does not matter which is selected).
