Despite the similarities in the English name, this card is not part of the Blue-Eyes archetype, as its name uses the Japanese expression for blue eyes (蒼眼; Sōgan) instead of the English one (ブルーアイズ; Burūaizu) that the remaining Blue-Eyes cards contain.
This monster's pose is almost identical to Blue-Eyes White Dragon from the second OCG/TCG artwork, which was the cover card of the Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon booster pack.
The Spanish print of this card has an errata in its description, claiming the monster in the Graveyard must be Normal Summoned.

The effect that activates during your Standby Phase targets 1 Normal Monster in your Graveyard.
The "Dragon-Type monsters you currently control cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effects until the end of the next turn." effect of "Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon" activates even if it's Special Summoned by "Call of the Haunted". Also, the effect does activate even if it's Special Summoned during the opponent's turn.: Does the effect of "Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon" activates when it's Special Summoned by "Call of the Haunted"? Also, does it activate if it's Special Summoned during the opponent's turn?
If a Dragon-Type monster that was affected by the effect of "Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon" is banished to Special Summon "D.D. Sprite" and later that Dragon-Type monster returns to the field, the effect of "Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon" is no longer applied on that monster.: If a Dragon-Type monster that was affected by the effect of "Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon" is banished to Special Summon "D.D. Sprite", what happens with the effect of "Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon" that was already applied?
