Card Trivia

This card has two upgraded versions, Neo-Parshath, the Sky Paladin and Sacred Arch-Airknight Parshath, a DARK counterpart, Darknight Parshath, a Synchro counterpart, Avenging Knight Parshath and a Link counterpart Celestial Knightlord Parshath.
This card is the opposite of Mefist the Infernal General in a number of ways. This monster is a LIGHT Fairy and Mefist is a DARK Fiend. While both monsters have the Pierce effect, when they inflict damage, this card allows you to draw 1 card while Mefist forces your opponent to discard. However, Mefist does not have a upgraded version of itself while this card has.
This card is named after the mythological character Perseus, but the name was mistranslated (Pa-Shi-Ah-Su).
This card is the one of the few cards to not have its halo removed in editing, another being Belial - Marquis of Darkness.
This card appears in the artworks of Tuner's Mind and Rebirth of Parshath.
Its appearance in the anime has its shield mistakenly drawn upside-down.

Rulings

TCG Rulings

Mentions in Other Rulings

Gemini Soldier: The effect to Special Summon 1 Gemini monster activates at the same time as effects that trigger when damage is dealt, such as “Airknight Parshath.”

Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis: “Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis” destroys itself immediately after calculating damage, at the same time that damage is applied. This is the same timing as “Airknight Parshath,” for example. However, the effect of “Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis” is a Continuous Effect and does not go on a Chain, so this effect will be applied earlier than that of “Airknight Parshath,” although the activation/timing is considered to be the same.

Tethys, Goddess of Light: You can activate the effect of “Tethys, Goddess of Light” if you draw a Fairy during the Damage Step, for example with “Airknight Parshath”.

OCG Rulings

If you draw a Fairy-Type monster during the Damage Step (such as by "Airknight Parshath"), you can activate the effect of "Tethys, Goddess of Light".: When a Fairy-Type monster is drawn from the deck during the Damage Step, can you activate the effect of "Tethys, Goddess of Light"?

"Tragoedia"s effect activates at the same time that "Airknight Parshath"s effect activate. "Tragoedia"s effect would be activated in chain to "Airknight Parshath", so you would Special Summon "Tragoedia" and then resolve "Airknight Parshath"s effect.: When "Spirit Reaper" deals Battle Damage, can "Tragoedia" be chained and Special Summon itself?

The effect of "Gemini Soldier" activates after Damage Calculation - that is, it activates when battle damage is inflicted to the player's Life Points.: The effect of "Gemini Soldier" activates "after Damage Calculation", which is when?
Example: "Gemini Soldier", in face-up Defense Position, is attacked by "Airknight Parshath". When Battle Damage is inflicted, the drawing effect of "Airknight Parshath" and the Special Summoning effect of "Gemini Soldier" both activate. They form a Chain, with the Turn Player's "Airknight Parshath" being Chain Link 1. Resolving backwards, "Gemini Soldier" first Special Summons a Gemini Monster, and then a card is drawn by the effect of "Airknight Parshath

Previously Official Rulings

Drawing a card is not optional. You must draw 1 card any time "
Airknight Parshath" inflicts Battle Damage to the opponent’s Life Points. This includes direct attacks, and when it battles with a monster with a lower ATK or DEF.

If the opponent activates "Waboku" or "Kuriboh" to reduce the Battle Damage to 0, you do not draw.

When "Airknight Parshath" attacks a face-down monster with a flip effect and inflicts Battle Damage, you draw 1 card before the flip effect is applied.

Mentions in Other Rulings

Cestus of Dagla: When "Airknight Parshath" equipped with "Cestus of Dagla" inflicts damage to your opponent's Life Points, the simultaneous effects go on a chain, so the controller decides which effect is resolved first.

Divine Wrath: You can activate "Divine Wrath" to negate the effect of "Airknight Parshath" that allows its controller to draw a card.

Gorz the Emissary of Darkness: If your opponent inflicts battle damage to your Life Points with a monster like "Airknight Parshath" or "Spirit Reaper", you can activate the effect of "Gorz the Emissary of Darkness". The effect of your opponent's "Airknight Parshath" or "Spirit Reaper" will be Chain Link 1 and the effect of your "Gorz the Emissary of Darkness" will be Chain Link 2.

Lone Wolf: If you have "Monk Fighter" targeted by "Lone Wolf", the following are examples of monster effects that will NOT be negated because they are not applied to a monster: "Airknight Parshath" (damage is inflicted and a card is drawn),

Marshmallon: When your opponent’s “Airknight Parshath” attacks your face-down “Marshmallon”, after damage calculation the effect of “Airknight Parshath” will be Chain Link 1 and the effect of your “Marshmallon” will be Chain Link 2.

Muko: You can chain "Null and Void" to the activation of the effect of cards like "Airknight Parshath".

Muko: You can activate "Null and Void" during the Damage Step, for example against the effects of "Airknight Parshath"

Protector of the Sanctuary: Your opponent cannot draw with "Airknight Parshath" while you control "Protector of the Sanctuary".

Raging Flame Sprite: The effect of "Raging Flame Sprite" is resolved after damage calculation and before Flip Effects are resolved (so the timing is the same as "Don Zaloog" and "Airknight Parshath").

Spirit Barrier: If you have 1 monster on the field, and "Airknight Parshath" attacks and destroys it, and would do extra damage, there is still a monster on the field when "Airknight Parshath"s effect would activate and resolve, so "Spirit Barrier"s effect is applied, "Airknight Parshath" inflicts zero damage to your Life Points], and your opponent does not draw a card for "Airknight Parshath"s effect.

Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce: If "Airknight Parshath" is equipped with "Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce" and attacks twice, you can draw twice.
