Card Trivia

This monster is the first Level 9 WATER monster.
This monster appears in the artworks of Underwater Snow Prison, Ice Dragon's Prison Void Trap Hole and Nekroz Kaleidoscope.
The three heads of Trishula are depicted on Mirror of the Ice Barrier.
This card has four counterparts:
Xyz/lswarm: Evilswarm Ouroboros
Ritual/Nekroz: Nekroz of Trishula
Fusion/Retrained: Trishula, the Dragon of Icy Imprisonment.
Synchro/Evolved form: Trishula, Zero Dragon of the Ice Barrier
This is the first monster to have a Hidden Arsenal set named after it.
This is the first monster to have a Duel Terminal installment named after it. The second was Vylon Omega.
Trishula is the trident of Hindu God Shiva.
In Hindi, it is written as त्रिशूल and is pronounced without the a.
Trishula means three spears, which referring to this monster's appearance and effect.
The three heads of this monster likely correspond to its ability to banish a card from three different places.
Following the evolution of each Dragon of the Ice Barrier, this monster has 200 more ATK and 300 more DEF than the previous dragon. However, it also has 2 more Levels than the previous dragon, instead of 1 as was the case for the first dragon.
In Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2010: Reverse of Arcadia, the word Barrier in this card's name is mistakenly written lowercase, as Trishula, Dragon of the Ice barrier. The same occurrence can be seen on the TCG Duel Terminal 4 version of this card.

If "
Doppelwarrior" and "Dandylion" are used as Synchro Material Monsters to Synchro Summon "Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier", the Turn Player would be able to activate all three Trigger effects, placing the effect of "Dandylion" first on the Chain (Mandatory), followed by the other two effects (the Turn Player will choose the order of which effect goes on Chain link 2 and which would go on Chain link 3).: Doppelwarrior - "Missing the Timing"

If a Synchro Monster with an Optional Trigger Effect like "Black Rose Dragon" or "Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier" is Synchro Summoned in the middle of a Chain by an effect like "Formula Synchron" (as Chain Link 2 or higher), then the effects of "Black Rose Dragon" or "Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier" will miss the timing.: Formula Synchron to Black Rose Dragon

The effect of "Stumbling" will prevent the controller from activating the effect during the initial chain responding to the successfull Summon.: StumblingThis is no longer correct due to the removal of Ignition Effect priority. Ignition Effects cannot be activated in the Summon response window.
