This card is the first Pendulum Monster with a Pendulum Scale of 0.
This card and Supreme King Gate Infinity may make reference to the cards used by the final villain of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Nightshroud: Zero and Infinity, which also were activated at the edges with the Duelist's main weapon between them (in Nightshroud's case, the Darkness Trap Cards, and in Z-ARC's case, his Pendulum Monsters).
This card's effect to Special Summon Fusion and Synchro Monsters may be a reference to how Yuri and Yugo became one during the events of Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V.
Although Supreme King Gate Infinity is the card that prevents Pendulum Summoning while this card is the one that destroys itself, both cards' effects are reversed in the anime.
