The "When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 Plant-Type monster from your hand or Deck in Defense Position." effect is an optional Trigger Effect that can be activated at the end of the Damage Step. (It does not target. When resolving this effect, you will Special Summon from either your hand or Deck. Tributing "Rose Paladin" is a cost to activate this effect.): Rose Paladin

If "Rose Paladin" battles a monster with the same ATK and both monsters are destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, this effect cannot be activated.

This effect can be activated during either player's turn.

The "You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; add 1 Level 7 or higher Plant-Type monster from your Deck to your hand." effect is an Ignition Effect. (Sending "Rose Paladin" from your hand to the Graveyard is a cost to activate this effect.)

If "Rose Paladin" destroys a "Zoma the Spirit" treated as a monster and sends it to the Graveyard, you cannot activate the effect of "Rose Paladin". (You cannot Tribute "Rose Paladin".): If "Rose Paladin" destroys "Zoma the Spirit " by battle, can its effect be activated?

If "Rose Paladin" destroys an opponent's monster that you own and sends it to your Graveyard, you can Tribute "Rose Paladin" to activate this effect.: If "Rose Paladin" destroys a monster you own by battle, can its effect be activated?
