Card Trivia

Since Rinyan is a cat, it might be the antithesis of Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter, a dog; Rinyan returns a card and allows the player to draw a card, while Ryko will destroy a card and sends cards to the Graveyard.
This monster is the pet cat of Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner. -  Lore on the Geargias and Lightsworn!
Rinyan is wearing Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner's headdress, necklace, and one armband on her tail. Both of them focus on bringing back Lightsworn cards from the Graveyard. In addition, both cards possess an identical green background.
According to the Master Guide 3 card storylines, Rinyan is part of a military unit that sneaks behind enemy lines to cause chaos and collecting information. At times, they'll snatch treasures, which fits Rinyans original name (Lightlord Thief).
Rinyan comes from the Japanese ri, meaning clever or, more accurately, sneaky, and nyan, a meowing onomatopoeia.
Also, the Japanese name can be read as Rainyan, where rai" can mean thunder or lightning, based on the appearance of its long ears.
