Card Trivia

 This card's name is derived from the effects of cards that activate when they are flipped face-up, known as Reverse effects in the OCG.
It may also be a Japanese pun, as the second syllable of Reverse and the first syllable of Buster use similar characters (バース and バス), and thus sound similar.
Its Attribute is also a reference to this, as face-down cards, namely Flip monsters are meant to be hidden from view (an analogy for the dark or unknown) while this monster serves as their light antithesis by having an effect that can destroy such cards in this said state.

This card effect does not target.: Effect Monster > Reverse Buster

If "Skill Drain" is destroyed during the Battle Step, "Reverse Buster" cannot attack a face-up Attack Position monster and a replay is triggered. Also, if "Skill Drain" is destroyed during the Damage Step, a replay is not triggered and Damage Calculation is performed.: While "Skill Drain" is active, if "Reverse Buster" attacks a face-up Attack Position monster and "Skill Drain" is destroyed during the Battle Step, is a replay triggered?
Also, if "Skill Drain" is destroyed during the Damage Step, is Damage Calculation for the battle of "Reverse Buster" performed?
