Sending an Equip Card you control to the Graveyard is a cost.
You can send a Trap Card like “Kunai with Chain” that is equipped to a monster as the cost to activate the effect to negate a Spell or Trap Card.
The effect to negate a Spell or Trap Card does not target.
You can activate the effect to negate a Spell or Trap Card more than once in the same Chain.
You cannot activate the effect to Special Summon a Gemini monster during the Damage Step.
You can activate the effect to negate a Spell or Trap Card during the Damage Step.
OCG Rulings
When a Normal Gemini Monster is face-up on the field in Defense Position, when it is Normal Summoned a second time, it is Normal Summoned in face-up Defense Position.: Effect Monster > Phoenix Gearfried
The effect of "Phoenix Gearfried" which Special Summons a Gemini Monster from your Graveyard targets one Gemini Monster in your Graveyard.
Sending one Equip Card from your field to the Graveyard is a cost to activate the effect of "Phoenix Gearfried" which negates the activation of a Spell or Trap Card. You can also send to the Graveyard an equipped Trap Card, like "Kunai with Chain". This effect does not target.
The Spell and Trap Card-negating effect of "Phoenix Gearfried" can be activated more than once per Chain. If a Spell or Trap Card which targets is chained to this effect, then you may activate the effect of "Phoenix Gearfried" again to negate the new Spell or Trap Card.: Can the effect of "Phoenix Gearfried" which negates the activation of a Spell or Trap Card be activated more than once per Chain?
