Card Trivia

This monster is based on the rook, a piece of Shogi. The piece's Japanese name, 飛車 (Hisha), translates to flying chariot - reflecting the first name of this card and its effect.
In the manga, when this card is promoted via the effect of Line Promotion, it becomes a dragon king (龍王, ryū ō) piece. The new effect it gains is also based in the additional movements a rook piece gains when it is promoted to a dragon king piece in Shogi.
This is the first Extra Deck card to have an effect related to columns (in the manga only).
This is the only Beast-Warrior Number.

Detaching 2 Xyz Materials from this card is a cost to activate this effect.: Number 72: Shogi Rook

This effect targets 1 Set Spell/Trap Card and 1 face-up monster your opponent controls for a total of 2 targets.

When this effect resolves, the last thing to happen is the destruction of the 2 targeted cards.

If the activation of the effect of "Number 72: Shogi Rook" is negated by "Light and Darkness Dragon", battle damage that your opponent takes that turn is not halved. Also, if the effect of "Number 72: Shogi Rook" is negated as a result of "Skill Drain" being activated in a Chain to its activation, battle damage that your opponent takes that turn is still not halved.: If the activation or the effect of "Number 72: Shogi Rook" is negated, is the battle damage that your opponent takes that turn halved?

During a turn in which you have activated the effect of "Number 72: Shogi Rook", even if you Summon monsters afterwards, the battle damage inflicted by those monsters is still halved. (The "any battle damage your opponent takes is halved for the rest of this turn." is applied.): During a turn in which you have activated the effect of "Number 72: Line Monster Chariot Hisha", is battle damage to your opponent that is inflicted by monsters Summoned afterward still halved?

If the effect of "Number 72: Shogi Rook" is activated, and then "Compulsory Evacuation Device" is Chained and targets it, so that "Number 72: Shogi Rook" is no longer on the field when its effect resolves, the "destroy them" and "any battle damage your opponent takes is halved for the rest of this turn." effects are applied normally. Furthermore, if the effect of "Number 72: Shogi Rook" was already activated and its effect is being applied, if it leaves the field by "Compulsory Evacuation Device", the "any battle damage your opponent takes is halved for the rest of this turn." effect continues to apply normally.: If the effect of "Number 72: Shogi Rook" is activated, and it leaves the field before its effect resolves or after its effects resolves, how do you apply its effects?
