Card Trivia

This monster wears the same armor and wields the trident of Mermail Abyssgaios.
This card's name is a reference to Neptune, the god of freshwater and the sea in Roman religion.
Mermail Abyssalacia might be this monster's female counterpart, as Abyssalacia has a similar appearance as Mermail Abysstrite, thus they can be considered as the humanoid versions of both the king and the queen of Mermail. This is further supported as Abyssalacia is named after Salacia, a Roman Goddess and the wife of Neptune.
By looking closely, one will see that Neptabyss appears the be wearing the golden ring featured in the artworks of Abyss-squall, Poseidra, the Atlantean Dragon and Mermail Abyssgaios as a crown.
