Earthbound Immortal Cusillu: Tributing 1 other monster you control is an effect, not a cost. If you Tribute “Lich Lord, King of the Underworld” for this effect, it will return to your hand.
OCG Rulings
The monster Tributed by "Earthbound Immortal Cusillu" instead of having "Earthbound Immortal Cusillu" be destroyed by battle is treated as being Tributed by an effect. If "Lich Lord, King of the Underworld" is Tributed, then the effect which returns "Lich Lord, King of the Underworld" to your hand will activate
This card's effect will be activated if it is Tributed from the hand for a Ritual Spell Card.: "Lich Lord, King of the Underworld" versus Ritual Spells

Tributing "Lich Lord, King of the Underworld" to pay an activation cost will not activate its effect and as a result it will not return to its owner's hand.
"Lich Lord, King of the Underworld's" effect activates in the Graveyard. So the opponent can chain "D.D. Crow", as long as it is not the Damage Step, and remove "Lich Lord, King of the Underworld" from play.: "Lich Lord, King of the Underworld" versus "D.D. Crow"
