This monster bears some resemblance to Colossal Fighter/Assault Mode, although it looks nothing like Colossal Fighter.
This card is the first Tuner monster to have an effect related to Dragon monsters while not being one itself. However, Blue Expense Falcon, a Tuner that appeared in the anime, has an effect like this as well.

Banishing the monster is part of the effect which increases its ATK by 800. Banishing the monster does not start another chain.
If the Synchro Monster is not banished during the End Phase, it is banished during the next End Phase.
