Faustian Bargain

 Faustian Bargain refers to a pact with the Devil. Metaphorically, this means giving up one's morals/self for the sake of power or wealth. The name is derived from the German myth of Johannes Faust, which was immortalized in the works of Christopher Marlowe and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.

This effect targets the 1 monster you send to the Graveyard. You send the monster to the Graveyard when the effect resolves. You cannot activate this card unless you have a Level 4 or lower Normal Monster in your hand.: Stardust Overdrive Sneak Peek -- Card Rulings (Version 1.0)

If you do not have a Level 4 or lower Normal Monster Card in your hand when this card resolves, you still send the Special Summoned monster to the Graveyard.

You can activate "Faustian Bargain" while cards like "Macro Cosmos" are in play, however you cannot Special Summon the Normal Monster from your hand because you did not actually send the target Special Summoned monster to the Graveyard.

The effect of "Faustian Bargain" targets the Special Summoned monster on the field that is to be sent to the Graveyard. You can also target a monster on your opponent's field that was Special Summoned.: Spell Card > Faustian Bargain: With "Faustian Bargain", can you target an opponent's monster and send it to the Graveyard?

The monster targeted by "Faustian Bargain" is sent to the Graveyard at resolution.

"Faustian Bargain" cannot be activated if you do not have any Level 4 or lower Normal Monsters in your hand.

If you do not have any Level 4 or lower Normal Monsters in your hand when resolving "Faustian Bargain", then the Special Summoned monster is still sent to the Graveyard, even though you cannot Special Summon a monster. At this time, the opponent may check your hand to verify that you do not have any monsters that you can Special Summon.: When resolving "Faustian Bargain", if you do not have a Level 4 or lower monster, then is the monster on the field still sent to the Graveyard?
