Despite being a member of the Fabled series, its effect doesn't activate the discarding effects that define them. This is also true for Fabled Ashenveil and Fabled Oltro.

Sending two cards - other than "Fabled Soulkius" - from your hand to the Graveyard is a cost to activate the effect of "Fabled Soulkius".
