The effect of "Evilswarm Zahak" is a Trigger Effect that is activated from the Graveyard. (It is also activated during the Damage Step.): Evilswarm Zahak

This effect targets 1 face-up Special Summoned Level 5 or higher monster in the Monster Zone.

The effect of "Evilswarm Zahak" is always activated when "Evilswarm Zahak" is destroyed by your opponent's card (by battle or card effect) and sent to your Graveyard. (It is activated even if there are no Special Summoned Level 5 or higher monsters. In this case, the effect starts a Chain Link, but resolves without effect.)

If a face-down Defense Position "Evilswarm Zahak" is attacked by an opponent's monster and it is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, the effect of "Evilswarm Zahak" will be activated.: If a face-down "Evilswarm Zahak" is destroyed by battle, can its effects be activated?

If a face-down Defense Position "Evilswarm Zahak" is destroyed by an opponent's card effect and sent to the Graveyard, the effect of "Evilswarm Zahak" cannot be activated.
