Card Trivia

This card along with Drill Synchron, Splendid Rose, Bird of Roses, Morphtronic Vacuumen and Chaos King Archfiend were made into anime cards as a result of a drawing competition, as seen in the preview of episode 74, 75, 76, 77 and 78 of the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime.
Its attack name is Drill Lancer, though it is called Drill Shoot when its ATK is halved by its own effect.
This card's first effect is similar to that of Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat.
This monster wears a scarf much like Junk Warrior and Lightning Warrior.
This is the first Warrior to have the same Level as another, Turbo Warrior.
This monster and Drill Synchron seem to be based on the Gurren Lagann of the anime series Gurren Lagann.
This monster's appearance is similar to Elemental HERO Grand Neos.
Likewise Drill Synchron can be used with Neo-Spacian Grand Mole to Synchro Summon Drill Warrior.
The scarf is similar to the masked hero in Apocalypse Zero.
The effect of this card is similar to that of T.G. Blade Blaster.
This monster is featured in the artwork of Dimension Voyage.
This card's second effect is similar and an unlimited usage of Monster Reincarnation the price being you must leave an open space for Drill Warrior to return to recover a monster from the graveyard in exchange for being able to exchange a card for a monster in your graveyard unlimitedly.

Dark World: Discarding 1 card is part of "Drill Warrior"s effect, it is not a cost. So, if "Broww, Huntsman of Dark World" is discarded, "Broww, Huntsman of Dark World" is being discarded by an effect. It is also a mandatory effect, so it will not miss the timing. The effect of "Broww, Huntsman of Dark World" will start a new Chain, and once it resolves, the owner will draw a card.: Drill Warrior and Broww, Huntsman of Dark World

If you Chain "Book of Moon" to the effect of "Drill Warrior" which banishes it, then "Drill Warrior" is still banished.: Post by Kevin Tewart

OCG Rulings

The "Once per turn, during your Main Phase 1: You can halve this card's ATK, and if you do, it can attack your opponent directly this turn." effect is an Ignition Effect. (It cannot be activated during Main Phase 2.): Drill Warrior

The "Once per turn: You can discard 1 card, and if you do, banish this card." effect is an Ignition Effect. (Discarding and banishing are considered to happen simultaneously.)

The "During your next Standby Phase: Special Summon this card banished by this effect, then add 1 monster from your Graveyard to your hand." effect is a Trigger Effect. (It does not target. Special Summoning this card and adding 1 monster from your Graveyard to your hand are not considered to happen simultaneously.)

The effect of "Drill Warrior" which banishes it and the effect which Special Summons it are not treated as the same effect; "Drill Warrior" is not treated as being banished temporarily. Thus, if the effect of "Drill Warrior" banishes it after control of it switches by an effect like "Mark of the Rose", "Brain Control" or "Creature Swap", then "Drill Warrior" will be Special Summoned to its original owner's side of the field during its original owner's next Standby Phase, and its original owner adds a card from his Graveyard to his hand.: If you banish your opponent's "Drill Warrior", then can either player add a card to his hand?

The effect of "Drill Warrior" which halves its ATK gives it the ability to attack directly. The effect does not force "Drill Warrior" to attack directly during that turn's Battle Phase, so "Drill Warrior" can still attack a monster.: If the ATK of "Drill Warrior" is halved by its effect, then must it attack directly?

If "Drill Warrior" halves its ATK by its own effect, then its ATK remains halved as long as "Drill Warrior" remains face-up on the field. If "Drill Warrior" is flipped face-down or leaves the field, then its ATK returns to the original amount.: If the effect of "Drill Warrior" halves its ATK, then how long is it applied?

When resolving the effect of a banished "Drill Warrior" which Special Summons it, you can Special Summon "Drill Warrior" even if there are no monsters in your Graveyard. However, after Special Summoning "Drill Warrior" you cannot resolve the effect which adds a card from your Graveyard to your hand, so cards like "Bottomless Trap Hole" may be activated.: When resolving "Drill Warrior", if there are no monsters in the Graveyard, then can you not Special Summon it?

When resolving the "You can discard 1 card, and if you do, banish this card." effect, if you cannot discard from your hand - for example, you chained "Full Salvo" - then you cannot banish "Drill Warrior". However, when resolving that effect, if "Drill Warrior" cannot be banished - for example, "Imperial Iron Wall" was chained - then you still discard 1 card.: If you cannot perform either the "discard 1 card" or the "banish" effect of "Drill Warrior", then do you still perform the other?

If the activation of the effect of "Drill Warrior" which Special Summons it during the Standby Phase is negated by the effect of "Light and Darkness Dragon", then you cannot activate that effect of that "Drill Warrior" a second time during the same Standby Phase. Thus, "Drill Warrior" remains banished.: If the activation of the effect of "Drill Warrior" which Special Summons it is negated, then can it be activated again?

Even if the effect of "Necrovalley" is applying, the effect that banishes "Drill Warrior" and the effect that Special Summons "Drill Warrior" can be activated. Since the effect "During your next Standby Phase: Special Summon this card banished by this effect, then add 1 monster from your Graveyard to your hand." is treated as an effect that affects cards in the Graveyard, the effect is negated by "Necrovalley". ("Drill Warrior" remains banished, and is not Special Summoned.) However, if during the resolution of that effect, you have no monsters in your Graveyard, since is not treated as an effect that affects cards in the Graveyard, only the resolution of "Special Summon this card banished by this effect" is applied.: While "Necrovalley" is applying, is the effect of "Drill Warrior" negated?
