This monster is based on the Japanese deity known as Take-Mikazuchi.
Born from the blood of Kagu-tsuchi, when the god of creation Izanagi severed the fire deity's head, Take-Mikazuchi is also known as the Thunder god, hence the background. Take-Mikazuchi is a character from the Kamiumi (birth of the gods) episodes of the Kojiki.
The 4 Beast-Warriors resemble the heroes of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX through their colors and head shapes. This monster resembles Chazz Princeton, while Bujin Hirume resembles Alexis Rhodes, Bujin Yamato resembles Jaden Yuki and Bujin Arasuda resembles Bastion Misawa.
The artworks of the 4 Bujin Beast-Warrior-Type monsters illustrate different times of day. The artwork of Bujin Mikazuchi" depicts the afternoon.
