This card's effect is the reverse of that of Black-Winged Dragon, which reduces the ATK of a monster based on the amount of damage the player would've taken; Blackfeather Darkrage Dragon gives a monster more ATK based on the amount of damage already taken.
Like Black-Winged Dragon, this monster features a corruption of the Blackwing archetype title in its name. However, this monster switches the localized names from Black-Winged Dragon in the OCG and TCG (Blackfeather in the TCG and Black-winged in the OCG).

This effect can be activated during the Damage Step.
The "You can send up to 5 cards from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard" is applied when the effect resolves. (This is not a cost. Also, how many cards to send to the Graveyard is also decided when the effect resolves.)
The ATK gained by this card's effect remains increased as long as this card remains face-up on the field.
